Full Internet Services

Each graduate student is given an Internet address so that he will be able to communicate with the professors all the time and make oversea connections through Internet all over the world. Each student is also allowed to have his own homepage as well as allowed to use full Internet services. Assumption University International Internet Geteway is connected to UUNET in San Jose, California, USA with the capacity of 128 Kbps. The international connection is also with dynamic routing so that if the line fails, the routing would be dynamically diverted to the 512 Kbps International Gateway of KSC Commercial Internet Co.,Ltd. for which Assumption University is serving as the incubator. The University has over 500 terminals all over the campus for students and faculty members to use on campus as well as over 500 telephone lines to dial in from their homes. The number of telephone lines is expected to be increased to 2,000.
